Jestrum piercing, also known as a vertical medusa or vertical philtrum, is an upper-lip piercing that sits in the philtrum, the groove just under the nose. It’s like a vertical labret piercing. The jewelry is a curved barbell, so both ends show outside the lip and the bar curves under the upper lip. Some people pair it with a lower lip piercing for symmetry.
