The Granville Mall is a pedestrian and transit zone on Granville Street in Downtown Vancouver, running from Hastings Street to Smithe Street. Opened in 1974, it is mainly served by trolley buses and is accessible by SkyTrain at Granville Station (Expo Line) or Vancouver City Centre Station (Canada Line). TransLink bus routes that serve the mall include 4, 7, 10, 14, 16, 17, 20, and 50.

The idea of closing this part of Granville Street to cars came after Vancouver abolished its freeway plan in 1968, with the goal of reducing downtown traffic. The mall opened on September 15, 1974. An attempt in 1987–88 to reopen the Nelson–Georgia section to general traffic was unsuccessful, though a block between Nelson and Smithe was reopened in 1989 and widened to four lanes.

In 2006, construction for the Canada Line required a temporary closure of the mall to all traffic between Robson Street and Hastings Street. Buses were rerouted, and some blocks were opened to northbound traffic during the project. Trolleybus service on the mall resumed on September 7, 2010.

Today, the central area of Granville Mall and nearby streets form the Granville Entertainment District, Vancouver’s main nightlife hub, with bars, clubs, venues, restaurants, hotels, and shops that stay open late. The district was created to concentrate nightlife in one area of downtown.
