Jason Kothari
Jason Kothari is an entrepreneur and business leader known for turning around companies. Born in Hong Kong, he spent his early years there and, at 15, worked as an assistant at Media Asia Films for actor Jackie Chan before moving to the United States to study at The Wharton School.
While at Wharton, he bought bankrupt Valiant Entertainment and built it into a major superhero company, signing a five-movie deal with Sony. He later sold Valiant for about $100 million to DMG Entertainment.

He then joined SoftBank-backed Snapdeal as Chief Strategy & Investment Officer, helping the company move from losses to profit with the Snapdeal 2.0 plan. He was also CEO of FreeCharge, which he sold to Axis Bank for $60 million.
Today he serves on the board of Emaar India and has advised SoftBank and Noon.com. In 2019, SoftBank reportedly shortlisted him for the global CEO role at WeWork. In film, he is an executive producer on Sony Pictures’ Bloodshot (2020). He is the author of Irrationally Passionate: My Turnaround from Rebel to Entrepreneur (2020), a memoir of his turnaround experiences.
