Jimmy Grants
Jimmy Grants was a Greek-Australian souvlaki fast-food chain in Australia. It started in 2013, created by George Calombaris through Made Establishment Group. It had several Melbourne outlets (Fitzroy, Emporium, Ormond, Richmond, and Ringwood) and a store in Sydney. The name comes from the migrant nickname 'Jimmy Grant,' used for Greek-Australian workers whose names were hard to pronounce. The flagship Richmond store was designed to feel like an Australian suburban home seen through a migrant's eyes. In 2020, after Made Establishment Group faced financial trouble, Jimmy Grants closed. Its stores were taken over by Stalactites Group and rebranded under the souvlaki brand 'Hella Good,' with Stalactites trying to keep staff during the takeover.
