Olympus XZ-1
The Olympus XZ-1 is a high-end compact camera released in January 2011. It features a bright 6–24 mm (28–112 mm equivalent) lens with an f/1.8–f/2.5 aperture and built-in image stabilization, plus Olympus’ Art Filters. It uses a 1/1.63-inch CCD sensor with 10 MP, and offers ISO 100–800 in auto mode and 100–6400 in manual mode. Photos are stored on SD cards, and the shutter speed ranges from 1/2000 to 60 seconds. The camera has a 3-inch OLED screen and is powered by an Olympus LI-50B battery. It measures about 110.6 x 64.8 x 42.3 mm, weighs around 275 g, and was made in China. In its class, it competed with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 and Canon S95. A follow-up, the XZ-2, appeared in 2012 with the same lens but an improved sensor, a tilting touchscreen, and an extra control dial around the lens.
