I'm on a Roll
I'm on a Roll is a 2012 dance-pop single by Stefano, featuring New Boyz and Rock Mafia. It was released on April 24, 2012 by Hollywood Records and marked Stefano’s first single after signing with the label in January 2012. A Spanish version titled Ando En Mi Rol was released together with the main track. The planned album release in September didn’t happen because Stefano Langone was dropped by Hollywood Records in 2013.
The music video came out on May 24, 2012. It was directed by Mickey Finnegan and shot at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, with a cameo by American Idol alum Casey Abrams as a homeless man. The video follows the song’s theme of luck. It starts with Stefano waking up, his car breaking down, and a tow truck taking it away. A stranger with a Ferrari mistakes him for a valet and gives him the keys. As Stefano drives off, the homeless man calls after him. At a traffic stop, he receives exclusive tickets to a private club, lies down by the pool, and is later invited by a womanizer to be massaged by women. Ben J from New Boyz appears for a solo rap, and Stefano is shown among people having a pillow fight. Near the end, Stefano returns the Ferrari keys to the stranger, who tips him. Using the tip, Stefano pays the tow service to bring back his car, but its engine is still blown.
Stefano performed the single on American Idol’s season 11 top 6 results show and on Good Morning America on July 16, 2012. The song sold about 20,000 copies in its first week.
