Vineet Alurkar is an Indian musician and singer‑songwriter from Pune. He is the frontman of two bands: Yoga Logik and The Black Birds.

Biography
Vineet was born to music entrepreneur Suresh Alurkar and Anuradha Alurkar. His father ran Alurkar Music House and was well known in Indian music circles. In 2008, his father was murdered at their Pune home. Vineet has a brother and, as of 2016, he was married.

Music career
In 2005, Vineet started Yoga Logik after jamming with Austrian guitarist Wolfgang Sambs. Yoga Logik is a six‑member Austrian‑Indian folk‑rock band whose music blends poetry with elements of jazz, funk, and Indian classical styles. The band toured Europe and India from 2012 to 2016 and released the album Live at Vidya Valley in 2014.

In 2011, Vineet helped form The Black Birds, a band that began as a school reunion with fellow musician Dhruv Bhate. The group released an EP that same year.

As of 2016, Vineet has been performing for over 13 years in India and around the world. He mainly plays guitar and also teaches music from his base in Aundh, Pune. He is a permanent faculty member at Vidya Valley School in Pune and serves as visiting faculty at Rungsted Gymnasium, a high school in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Genres and role
Vineet’s music spans folk, rock, and fusion. His instruments include guitar, bass, piano, drums, and vocals. He also runs a music teaching practice and leads his bands on tours and recordings.
