Han is a social humanoid robot created by Hanson Robotics in Hong Kong. He was activated in 2015 and debuted at the Global Sources Electronics Fair that year. His skin is made of Frubber, and he can recognize people and guess their gender, age, and emotions. He is mainly a head on a transparent body so you can see his circuitry. Some reports say his main goal is to help people feel content. Through a mobile phone, Han can display different facial expressions and have simple conversations. He has about 40 motors in his head to make expressions and several cameras in his eyes and chest. In 2017 at the RISE conference in Hong Kong, Han debated Sophia, another Hanson robot, on topics like the future of robots and robot consciousness.
