Sittard-Geleen is a municipality in the southeast Netherlands, in the province of Limburg. It was created in 2001 when the municipalities of Sittard, Geleen and Born joined together. The area is about 80 square kilometers and the population is around 92,650 (January 2024), making it the third most populated municipality in Limburg after Maastricht and Venlo.

Since February 2020, the local government has been a coalition of CDA, GroenLinks and the local parties GOB and Stadspartij.

A major road linking Sittard and Geleen, called Rijkswegboulevard, was rebuilt to be a primary route for cycling and walking. There is generous space for cyclists and pedestrians, side roads are narrower, and parking is provided in small groups along the sides. The road center is marked for delivery stops and is not easy for large vehicles.

Sittard-Geleen borders Belgium to the west and Germany to the east. It includes places such as Sittard, Geleen and Born.
