Ramesh Singh Arora
Ramesh Singh Arora (born 11 October 1979 in Nankana Sahib, Punjab) is a Pakistani politician and social worker who advocates for Sikh rights in Pakistan. He is a member of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and has held several notable roles in government and Sikh organizations.
Key roles and achievements
- Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities since 7 March 2024, appointed by the Punjab government. He is the first Sikh to be named a minister in Punjab’s provincial government.
- Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab for NM-368 since 27 February 2024.
- President of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee since 1 March 2024.
- Ambassador at large for the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor (appointed to promote links with Sikh pilgrims and heritage sites).
