Gerardus van der Wel
Gerardus van der Wel (5 January 1895 – 31 May 1945) was a Dutch long-distance runner who competed in the 5000 metres. Born in The Hague, he represented the Netherlands at the 1920 Summer Olympics. During World War II, he died at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany, a victim of the Holocaust.
