Gastroserica huaphanensis
Gastroserica huaphanensis is a small beetle in the Scarabaeidae family found in Laos. Adults are about 7.5–8.2 mm long and have a yellowish-brown, oval body. Dark brown markings appear on the frons (front of the head), the antennal club, the edges and some intervals of the elytra (wing covers), and two symmetrical spots on the pronotum. The top surface is dull with dark spots that can sometimes look metallic green, and it has a mix of long erect hairs and shorter dense hairs. The species is named after Hua Phan province in Laos.
