Flamur Noka
Flamur Noka (born March 3, 1971) is an Albanian politician and a medical doctor who specializes in oncology. He was born in Kukës, joined the Democratic Party in the early 2000s, and was elected to the Albanian Parliament for Kukës in 2009.
Noka served as Albania's Minister of the Interior from July 3, 2012, to September 15, 2013, under Prime Minister Sali Berisha. He left the post after the Democrats’ heavy defeat in the 2013 elections, and Saimir Tahiri took over. Since June 3, 2022, he has been the General Secretary of the Democratic Party.
In 2017 he was involved in an incident in Parliament and was required to leave. In 2024 he drew attention in Greece for supporting the Greek minority in Himarë, participating in a Greek-language campaign for Petros Gikurias.
