Mông đồng
Mông đồng (chữ Hán: 艨艟) is a type of near-shore warship and river boat used in medieval Vietnam. They dominated the navy for more than a thousand years. The historical record An Nam chí lược says that Tang dynasty governor Trương Châu ordered 300 Mông đồng to be built around the year 1000. Each vessel had 23 oarsmen and could carry 25 soldiers. They were fast, long and narrow, and could ram enemy ships.
