Fanny Hodges Newman

Fanny Hodges Newman (1862–1946) was an American poet and lyricist from Michigan. She married Henry P. Newman, a doctor, in Chicago in 1882 and they had two children. The family moved to California in 1906. She published three poetry books—Adventures (1910), Out of Bondage (1913), and Hearts Allied (1917)—and wrote the lyrics for the song "We Are All Americans" (1918).
