Eugene Greene was a Catholic priest in the Raphoe diocese, County Donegal, Ireland. He abused 26 boys over the years 1965–1992. From 1965 to 1975 he worked in Nigeria with the Kiltegan Fathers; after returning to Ireland, he served in several parishes, including Gweedore and Gortahork, where he abused 16 boys between 1976 and 1981. In 1997 he reported being blackmailed by a man he had abused; police investigations led to charges against Greene for past abuse. In 2000 he pleaded guilty to charges involving 26 boys and was sentenced to 12 years in prison, serving nine years before his release in 2008. He died in late 2018.
