Archie Comics has created many alternate-universe stories where the gang lives in different times, places, or realities. These tales are separate from the main Riverdale continuity and let readers see familiar characters in new settings. Here’s a shorter, easier-to-understand look at some of the best-known alternate universes.

- Archie 1: The Dawn of Time (Archie B.C.) — one-shot, 2010. The gang’s ancestors live as cavemen, interacting with dinosaurs in a Flintstones–like world, with ironic twists on everyday ideas.

- Archie 3000 — 16 issues, 1989–1991. Archie and friends are in the year 3000 in a Jetsons-style city, where technology is advanced but daily life often stays familiar.

- Archie: The Married Life — 2011–2014. Young-adult stories in alternate futures show Archie married to Veronica in one timeline and Betty in another, with other dramatic twists.

- Archie Meets the Punisher — one-shot, 1994. Archie encounters Marvel’s Punisher in a crossover set in Riverdale, with cameos from other characters.

- Archie’s R/C Racers — 1989–1991. Teams of Riverdale teens race radio-controlled cars across the United States, foiling a villain’s plans.

- Archie’s Super Teens / Archies Super Teens — revival in the 1990s. Archie and friends become superheroes, but their powers sometimes cause memory issues for ordinary people.

- Archie’s Weird Mysteries / Archie's Mysteries — 2000–2004. Supernatural adventures mix with Archie’s usual humor; the series later shifts to detective stories before cancellation.

- The New Archies — 1987–1990. The gang is recast as tweens with updated looks and styles.

- Veronica’s Passport — 1992–1997. Veronica travels the world solving mysteries and meeting local characters, learning about different cultures.

- Little Archie — 1956–1983 (and later revamps). Archie and friends as elementary school kids, with a broader cast of younger characters. A later revival briefly redesigned the look, then returned to the classic style.

- The New Little Archie / The Tiny Titans crossover — 1991 and 2011. A refreshed Little Archie with a modern look; later crossovers brought the characters into newer titles.

- Dilton’s Strange Science — 1989–1990. Dilton Doiley’s solo adventures send him to strange places and encounters with aliens and monsters.

- Explorers of the Unknown — 1990–1991. A parody of adventure-hero teams, with Archie and friends as elite explorers fighting bizarre villains.

- Faculty Funnies — 1989–1990. Riverdale High teachers gain superpowers after a science fair accident, giving readers humorous “faculty-with-powers” stories.

- Green Legs and Gams — 1991. A one-issue mash-up where Archie teams up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to save Veronica.

- Jughead’s Pal Hot Dog — 1990. Jughead’s dog Hot Dog gets his own five-issue series, with Hot Dog acting more human and traveling through time or across dimensions.

- Jughead’s Diner — 1990–1991. Jughead travels to another dimension to help Dinerville’s quirky residents keep their property from a greedy real-estate agent.

- Jughead’s Time Police — 1990–1991 (rebooted in 2019). Jughead joins a time-policing agency after receiving a beanie with time-travel powers; he, and ally January McAndrews, try to keep history on track, facing Morgan Le Fay as the main villain.

- Little Archie — 1956–1983, then The New Little Archie (1991). The kid-versions of the gang, educational and moral in tone; the later redesigns sparked mixed reactions before returning to the classic style.

- The Man from Riverdale — 1960s spy-adventure mashups. Archie and friends appear as agents in a comic-within-a-comic world of secret organizations, often with humorous acronyms.

- The New Archies — 22 issues, 1987–1990. A full spin on the gang as a younger group with a fresh look.

- Archie Meets Riverdale (2022) — two universes collide when a multiverse rift brings the classic Riverdale kids into a darker, more dangerous version of their world, and vice versa. The two groups work together to seal the rift and restore balance.

- Archie is Mr. Justice (2025) — Archie becomes a teenage superhero who fights to protect Riverdale, which has grown into a big city under the influence of Hiram Lodge. Veronica is Visionary, and Archie must decide between love and duty as he tries to save his town.

- Life with Archie events — 2014. In an alternate, darker future tied to the Married Life line, Archie dies heroically while saving a friend and a U.S. Senator.

- Archie Meets the Punisher and related crossovers remain a notable example of Archie teaming up with other publishers to tell unusual, standalone stories.

- Archie Meets Riverdale (2022) and Archie is Mr. Justice (2025) show how these alternate universes can intersect with the main Archie world, offering new twists while keeping core characters familiar.

These alternate universes let Archie readers enjoy big changes and new adventures while still recognizing the beloved gang.
