Alex Welsh (curler)
Alexander William Welsh (October 12, 1907 – January 4, 1971) was a Canadian curler from Manitoba. He was born in Morningside, Edinburgh, Scotland, and died in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Welsh played as third on the Manitoba team that won the 1947 Brier (Canada's national curling championship), skipped by his younger brother Jimmy Welsh. He curled for the Deer Lodge Curling Club in Winnipeg and won the Manitoba provincial championship three times.
