Eden Congregational Church

Eden Congregational Church, also known as Pioneer Chapel, is a historic church building just north of downtown Hayward in Alameda County, California. Built in 1867, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (added August 3, 2007) and is still used by Eden United Church of Christ (Congregational). A culverted stretch of San Lorenzo Creek runs past the church.

The building was moved twice: in 1947 about a mile north, and in 2003 about 400 feet. The Hayward Area Historical Society began there in 1956. A short history of the church, A Century in Eden by Esther McStay, was published in 1965.
