Easton Press
Easton Press is a Norwalk, Connecticut-based publisher founded in 1975. It’s part of MBI, Inc. and specializes in premium leather-bound books, including classics, religion, poetry, art, some science fiction, and popular titles. Some books are offered in monthly subscription series. Easton Press bought Heritage Press, which published cheaper editions of books from The Limited Editions Club; the interior content is usually the same across Easton Press, Heritage Press, and Limited Editions Club, but Easton Press uses higher-quality materials—fine paper, leather covers, ribbon markers, and 22K gold decorations. Their bindings feature gilt edges, raised spine bands, and ribbon markers. Easton Press also commissions illustrations from artists such as Arthur Szyk, David Gentleman, and Chris Van Allsburg (notably for The Chronicles of Narnia). They have published many series, including The Greatest Books Ever Written, Masterpieces of American Literature, The Library of American Presidents, The Library of American History, Roger Tory Peterson Field Guides, Fly-Fishing Classics, Signed Modern Classics, Flyway of Life, and The Masterpieces of Science Fiction.
