Dalbergia miscolobium is a flowering plant in the legume family (Fabaceae). It is native to seasonally dry tropical areas of Bolivia and Brazil. The slow-growing evergreen tree can reach up to 16 meters tall and has light bluish-green leaves, making it highly ornamental. The flowers are very dark purple and it produces seed pods. It is commonly used as a street tree in several Brazilian cities.
