Doctors' Garden
Doctors' Garden is a park in Sofia, Bulgaria, between Oborishte and Shipka streets, just behind the National Library. It sits near many historic monuments and government buildings. The park is named after a monument to medics who died in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–78. Many of these medics worked with the Russian Red Cross and fell in battles at Pleven, Plovdiv, Mechka, and Shipka. The monument was built in 1883–1884 by Antoniy Osipovich Tomishko, a Russian architect of Czech origin. The park is located at about 42.6944° N, 23.3383° E.
