List of ambassadors of Germany to Italy
Overview: This lists Germany’s ambassadors to Italy. It covers Germany’s top diplomats from the North German Confederation (1866–1871), the German Empire (1871–1945), and the Federal Republic of Germany (since 1951) who served in the Kingdom of Italy (1861–1946) and the Italian Republic (since 1946). The German embassy was based in Turin (1861–1865), Florence (1865–1870), and Rome (since 1870). Since 1995, the Rome ambassador is also accredited to San Marino.
