South Point Mall is a shopping center in McDonough, Georgia. It opened in 2008 with JCPenney and Kohl’s. In 2009, Hobby Lobby and Hilton Garden Inn joined, followed soon after by Academy Sports + Outdoors. These stores have performed well and attract shoppers from up to 30 miles away. In 2012, anchors TJ Maxx, Toys "R" Us, and Havertys opened. Other stores opening later include ULTA, Party City, and Five Below. Rooms to Go began construction in late 2013 and planned to open by late summer 2014. Freddy’s announced plans to build a new restaurant with a May 2014 opening. The mall covers about 600,000 square feet, with around 57 stores and services and 9 anchor tenants when complete. Parking for about 2,758 vehicles.
