Charles Chambers (cricketer)
Charles Graham Chambers (12 July 1870 – 30 January 1921) was an English cricketer who played one first-class match in 1894. A right-handed batsman, he was born in West Ilsley, Berkshire, and was the son of a Dorset reverend. He attended Marlborough College from 1882, where he played cricket and rugby. After leaving Marlborough in 1889, he studied at Lincoln College, Oxford, earning a BA. He then lived near Liverpool and played club cricket for Boughton Hall. In 1894 he appeared for Liverpool and District in a first-class match against Yorkshire at Aigburth. He scored 16 in the first innings and 5 in the second, and bowled three overs without taking a wicket as Yorkshire won by 10 wickets. By 1896 he had moved south and worked as a solicitor in Reading, Berkshire, where he died in 1921 at the age of 50.
