Georges Pézières (2 May 1885 – 1 March 1941) was a French politician from Perpignan. The son of a primary school teacher, he worked as a literature teacher at a college in Perpignan. He joined the SFIO in 1924. In 1925 he was elected municipal councillor for Perpignan, and in 1928 he became the mayor’s deputy. He lost the 1929 election but stayed active in politics: from 1929 to 1935 he was secretary of the SFIO federation for the Pyrénées-Orientales, and in 1934 he became the Perpignan section secretary. He was elected general councillor for Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet in 1931 and again in 1937. He was re-elected municipal councillor in March 1935, and in October 1935 he was elected senator. In the 1930s he worked closely with Jean Payra. On 10 July 1940 he voted against granting full powers to Philippe Pétain. He died in 1941; his funeral was notable because Louis Noguères publicly opposed the Vichy regime.
