1940 Bathurst Grand Prix

The 1940 Bathurst Grand Prix was a car race held at the Mount Panorama circuit near Bathurst, New South Wales, on 25 March 1940. The race used a handicap start and covered 150 miles (37 laps). It was promoted by the New South Wales Light Car Club. Alf Barrett won in an Alfa Romeo Monza and also posted the fastest overall time and the fastest lap, the latter setting a new lap record.
