Canada's Worst Driver 13
Canada’s Worst Driver 13 is the thirteenth season of the Canadian reality show on Discovery Channel. It aired from October 23 to December 11, 2017. Eight drivers, nominated by family or friends, entered the Driver Rehabilitation Centre at Dunnville Airport in Dunnville, Ontario, to work on their driving skills and face their fears, with the season’s theme centered on driving fears and the number 13.
Contestants
- Mélanie, Shayne, Ashley, Breanna, Joe, Julie, Adam, Travis
What happened that season
- The season starts with a skills evaluation; no one graduates in episode one.
- Joe promises to slow down after his daughter Kristen speaks up, and Julie shows potential to graduate.
- Many episodes end without a graduate, but some contestants show real progress.
- Breanna earns the third graduate spot after passing a highway drive with Tim.
- In later episodes, others are shortlisted, with some choosing not to graduate even when they’re considered the best option.
- By the final stretch, Adam is the only contestant who remains a strong candidate for graduation, but he initially doesn’t feel ready.
The finale
- Adam ends up being the final graduate, recognized for his solid road test and overall improvement.
- The show then presents the final two: Mélanie and Ashley. Mélanie is named Canada’s Worst Driver due to a persistent lack of effort and negative attitude throughout the season. Ashley does not graduate.
- The experts arrange driving lessons for Mélanie to help her after the show, but she never uses them. Ashley leaves without graduating, while Adam looks ahead to his next stop—Niagara Falls—after his graduation.
In short, eight contestants faced their fears and worked to improve, with Adam ultimately graduating as the season’s final winner, and Mélanie earning the season’s Worst Driver title.
