Parkway–South Sacramento, California is a former census-designated place in Sacramento County, just south of downtown Sacramento. It was part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville metropolitan area. At the 2000 census, the population was 36,468 in 11,197 households. The area was dissolved before the 2010 census and was divided into Fruitridge Pocket, Lemon Hill, and Parkway.

- Population density: about 7,534 people per square mile.
- Race and ethnicity: 38.1% White, 16.6% African American, 1.5% Native American, 17.4% Asian, 0.6% Pacific Islander, 18.0% other races, and 7.7% two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 34.0%.
- Household and family structure: average household size 3.22; average family size 3.74.
- Income and poverty: median household income $31,194; per capita income $12,702. About 23.2% of families and 28.6% of the population were below the poverty line.
History
- Growth began with early transportation routes, including U.S. Route 99 (now Stockton Boulevard) through the area, linking to Stockton and farming regions.
- The arrival of the Southern Pacific and later Western Pacific railroads nearby contributed to development.
- Residential and commercial growth increased in the 1940s–1960s, highlighted by the Florin Mall in the 1960s and expansion in nearby Lindale and Florin areas.
Government
- Parkway–South Sacramento lies in California’s 6th Congressional District.
- In the California State Legislature, it falls within the 6th Senate district and spans the 7th and 9th Assembly districts.
- It is an unincorporated area and no longer exists as a separate CDP for recent censuses.
