Broughton Village
Broughton Village is a small area on the Princes Highway in New South Wales, Australia. It lies on the border between the Kiama and Shoalhaven local government areas, near Broughton Creek. It is about 18 km southwest of Kiama and 39 km north of Nowra. The postcode is 2534 and the land sits about 52 meters above sea level.
As of the 2021 census, 95 people lived there. It is in the Illawarra region, in the Kiama state electoral district and the federal division of Gilmore.
The village is named after Broughton, a Dharawal man who worked as a guide for early British settlers. It should not be confused with nearby places named Broughton or Broughton Vale.
