Karen Linda Collins is an American mathematician at Wesleyan University. She is the Edward Burr Van Vleck Professor of Mathematics, Chair of Mathematics and Computer Science, and a Professor of Integrative Sciences. Her research focuses on combinatorics and graph theory. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Smith College in 1981 and completed her Ph.D. at MIT in 1986, with a dissertation titled Distance Matrices of Graphs supervised by Richard P. Stanley. Collins joined Wesleyan in 1986 and was named the Edward Burr Van Vleck Professor in 2017.
