Bobby Suryadi
Bobby Suryadi (born April 7, 1971, in Bandung, Indonesia) is an Indonesian disc jockey, record producer and composer who has been active since 1989. He is known for house, electronic, electro and electronic dance music, and is tied to Stadium Production.
Suryadi began his career performing in Jakarta clubs in the late 1980s and became a resident DJ at venues such as WAVE Hotel Horison Ancol and Atalanta Discotheque. He gained wider fame at Stadium Jakarta, where he was praised for blending genres and keeping the dance floor energized. He has performed at festivals and clubs across Indonesia and abroad, and has shared the stage with international DJs like Armin van Buuren and Tiësto.
In September 2023, he celebrated 30 years in the music business with the event Immortal Wave Sound S.O.S: 30 Years of Career Bobby Suryadi at Sunset Beach, Beach City International Stadium in Ancol, Jakarta. The event, organized by Bigbang Promosindo with We Offers Wonders, also marked eight years of Stadium Production and featured several Indonesian DJs including Riri Mestica, Yasmin, R Jodi and Nash Balfas.
Bobby is married to Aprilliana, who is also a DJ, and they have one child. Aprilliana learned DJing from him. Bobby has spoken out about concerns that some Indonesian DJs focus more on popularity than technical skill, a view that has sparked debate.
