Bernard O'Shea is an Irish comedian from Durrow, County Laois. He is best known for Republic of Telly and for co-hosting Breakfast Republic on RTÉ 2FM with Jennifer Zamparelli and Keith Walsh. He also wrote TJ and TJ sketches for Today FM and acted in Bridget & Eamon. O'Shea began in entertainment playing traditional Irish music and touring Europe. He studied theatre in college and performed at the National Theatre of Ireland and the Abbey Theatre. He won the Harp Newcomer Comedy Award in 2000 and appeared in the BBC Newcomer Awards the same year. He performed at Montreal's Just for Laughs in 2005 and at Kilkenny Cat Laughs in 2005 and 2006.
