Belvidere Township is a small rural area in Goodhue County, Minnesota. It covers 35.6 square miles, all land, and had 458 residents at the 2000 census. The township was organized in 1858.

Belvidere Mills is an unincorporated community in parts of the township. It had a post office from 1877 to 1905 and was a stop on the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad. The township also had a short-lived post office named Thoten (1878–1883) and briefly Belvidere. Thoten/Belvidere hosted a flour mill on Wells Creek.

As of 2000, the population was 458 people, with 149 households and 120 families. The population density was 12.9 people per square mile, and there were 157 housing units. The racial makeup was about 97.2% White, 0.4% Native American, 1.3% Asian, and 1.1% two or more races.

Households averaged 3.07 people, and families averaged 3.43. About 42.3% of households had children under 18, 68.5% were married couples, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.8% were non-families. Individuals made up 15.4% of all households, and 6.0% had someone living alone who was 65 or older.

The age distribution was 34.5% under 18, 6.3% 18–24, 30.6% 25–44, 18.8% 45–64, and 9.8% 65 or older. The median age was 33 years. There were about 116 males for every 100 females.

Income levels included a median household income of $50,972 and a median family income of $57,639. Males had a median income of $26,875, while females had $30,250. The per capita income was $18,317. About 9.9% of families and 11.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 12.5% of those under 18 and 15.9% of those 65 or older.
