Atharva – The Origin
Atharva – The Origin is a 150-page Indian graphic novel created by Ramesh Thamilmani and illustrated by MS Dhoni. It was originally released on 18 April 2022 and published by Virzu Studios. The project was produced by M.V.M. Vel Mohan, Vincent Adaikalaraj, and Ashok Manor, with Ramesh Thamilmani as writer and Kavin Adithya as editor. There were plans to adapt it into a web-series.
Touted as India’s first three-dimensional graphic novel with a realistic look across about 150 scenes, Atharva – The Origin was later recreated by Pratilipi Comics with new character designs and artwork, aiming to revolutionise Indian online comics. In September 2022, the comic relaunched on Pratilipi Comics.
