Jamie Freveletti
Jamie Freveletti is an American thriller writer. Her debut novel, Running from the Devil (2009), won the 2010 Barry Award for Best Thriller and the 2010 International Thriller Writers Award for Best First Novel. In 2011 she was chosen by the Robert Ludlum estate to write a Covert-One novel, which was released in 2012 as The Janus Reprisal.
Freveletti has published four Emma Caldridge novels and a novella, plus two Covert-One novels. The Emma Caldridge series began with Running from the Devil and continued with a second book in 2010 and The Ninth Day in 2011. In 2012 she released the fourth Emma Caldridge novel and the first part of an Emma Caldridge novella; parts two and three, titled Gone and Run, followed in 2013. Her second Covert-One novel, The Geneva Strategy, appeared in 2015.
She grew up in Addison, Illinois. After law school she studied International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, and then practiced as a trial attorney. She also holds a black belt in aikido and competes in ultramarathons. Freveletti lives in Chicago with her family.
