Alexander Kozlovsky (born September 1, 1944 in Leningrad) is a Russian politician and former deputy of the 4th and 5th State Dumas. He studied at the St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. From 1970 to 1976 he worked as an instructor for the Komsomol, then held several government roles, including Deputy Head of the International Department, Assistant to the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 1980 Summer Olympics. From 1981 to 1986 he was the Senior Referent in the Council of Ministers’ apparatus and the Executive Secretary of the Commission on Environmental Protection and Rational Use of Natural Resources. In 1991–1992 he served as Deputy Chairman of the Soviet Olympic Committee. He was elected to the Russian State Duma in 2003 (4th convocation) and 2007 (5th convocation), serving from December 29, 2003 to December 24, 2007, and from December 24, 2007 to December 21, 2011. In 2013 he joined the executive committee of the European Olympic Committees. He is a member of the United Russia party.
