Alan Schechter
Alan Schechter (born 1936) is a political scientist and Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. He earned an AB from Amherst College and a PhD from Columbia University. Schechter was Hillary Rodham's adviser at Wellesley and supervised her senior thesis. He still works with Wellesley, running the Wellesley in Washington internship program, which sends about twenty students to Washington each summer. He has served as Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and member of the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, a presidential appointment.
