Truth Be Told is the eleventh episode of Dexter’s first season. It aired on December 10, 2006, directed by Keith Gordon and written by Drew Z. Greenberg and Tim Schlattmann.

Plot in brief:
- Dexter continues追 linking the Ice Truck Killer (ITK) to his own past. He discovers a connection to a 1973 case investigated by his father figure, Harry.

- Meanwhile, Captain Matthews replaces LaGuerta for failing to catch ITK. Rita visits Paul in prison.
- Rudy also murders an amputee prostitute who talked to Angel to keep the news from spreading, leaving her dismembered remains in a public Christmas display.

IGN gave it 9.2/10, and other outlets praised its pacing and twists. It was later released in a censored CBS broadcast in 2008 with higher viewership.
