David S. Adams (State Department)

David S. Adams (born 1961) was the United States Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs, the 29th person in that role, from August 4, 2011, to June 18, 2013. He had previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for House Affairs. Earlier in his career, he spent 24 years on the staff of Representative Gary L. Ackerman in the U.S. House of Representatives. Adams earned a BA from the University of Connecticut, an MA from American University, and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland.
