2017 Super League Grand Final

The 2017 Super League Grand Final was held at Old Trafford, Manchester, on 7 October 2017 (kick-off 6:00 pm). Leeds Rhinos beat Castleford Tigers 24–6 to win the title, their eighth in the competition. Attendance was 72,827 and the match was shown on Sky Sports.

How the teams reached the final: Castleford finished first in the regular season and beat St Helens 23–22 in a golden-point semi-final. Leeds also finished top and beat Hull F.C. 18–16 in their semi-final at Headingley.

Season meetings: Castleford had defeated Leeds in all four meetings that year, including a 66–10 win in Round 3. Despite Castleford going in as favourites, Leeds won the final comfortably, with Castleford scoring only in the last minute.

Individual award: Danny McGuire of Leeds Rhinos received the Harry Sunderland Trophy as man of the match.
