2010–11 IFA Championship
The 2010–11 IFA Championship, known as the Ladbrokes.com Championship for sponsorship, was the third season after Northern Ireland’s league reorganization. The league was split into two divisions for clubs with intermediate status: Championship 1 (the second tier) and Championship 2 (the third tier).
Championship 1
Carrick Rangers won the division and earned promotion to the IFA Premiership on 2 May 2011, after Limavady United failed to beat Ballymoney United, leaving Carrick Rangers seven points clear with two games to play. Limavady United finished as runners-up but were ineligible for promotion due to not meeting the required licence, so no promotion play-off took place. Ballymoney United and Ballyclare Comrades were relegated to Championship 2.
Championship 2
Warrenpoint Town won the Championship 2 title and were promoted to Championship 1, with Tobermore United also promoted. Chimney Corner finished bottom but avoided relegation after Dollingstown were demoted following an ineligible-player ruling in eight league matches, which led to a points deduction. Tandragee Rovers were crowned champions of the division but did not apply for entry to Championship 2.
Format
Each team played every other team twice, once at home and once away. Championship 1 teams played 26 games each, while Championship 2 teams played 30 games each.
