Parafroneta subantarctica
Parafroneta subantarctica is a very small sheet-weaver spider that lives only on Antipodes Island in New Zealand. It was described in 1979 by A. D. Blest from both male and female specimens. The male is about 2.2 mm long and the female about 2.08 mm. It has an orange-brown cephalothorax, yellow-brown legs, and a grey abdomen with white markings. The holotype specimen is kept in the New Zealand Arthropod Collection (NZAC03014982). This species is listed as Naturally Uncommon under New Zealand's Threat Classification System, with the qualifiers Island Endemic and One Location.
