Eva Robin's
Eva Robin's, born 10 December 1958 in Bologna, Italy, is an Italian actress, model, and activist. She is best known for her role in the 1982 horror film Tenebrae by Dario Argento. Born male, she felt she was female from around age 13. At 16, a transgender neighbor helped her start feminizing hormones, and by 21 she was living as a woman. She says she does not want sex reassignment surgery and is happy with her body. She spells her last name with an apostrophe: Robin's. Her stage name comes from Eva Kant, a character in Diabolik, and writer Harold Robbins; she chose the spelling after seeing Robbins written as "Robin's" in Sardinia. Through her friendship with Paolo Villaggio, she has met Marta Marzotto, Bianca Jagger, Christian Bulgari, and Barilla executives. She has been active in acting and modeling since 1979.
