1997–98 St. John's Red Storm men's basketball team
1997–98 St. John's Red Storm men's basketball team represented St. John's University in the 1997–98 NCAA Division I season. Led by second-year head coach Fran Fraschilla, the Red Storm played in the Big East and had home games at Alumni Hall and Madison Square Garden. They finished 22–10 overall and 13–5 in the Big East. Team captains were Tarik Turner, Felipe Lopez, and Zendon Hamilton, with assistants Tom Billeter, Ron Rutledge, and Darren Savino. The team earned a bid to the NCAA tournament but was eliminated in the first round.
