A'tris was an American indie rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. They formed in 2003 and played a mix of indie and alternative rock, often described as having a cinematic sound. The band was active through 2017 and released music on AirPlay Direct and Mark Records. Their website was www.atrishq.com.

Formation and members
The band started at Berklee College of Music, founded by Mason Taylor (vocals and piano) and Michael Kreher. They invited other Berklee students to join, including drummer Dave Lewis and guitarist Zach McLean. Later, the lineup changed as members came and went, with Chuck Sokol joining to help engineer recordings. The group eventually included Mason Taylor, Ben Azar (guitar), Nate Lueck (bass and vocals), and Travis Abel (drums). For live performances, Kreher and Sokol provided synthesized backdrops. Over the years, other members like Chris Ashworth, James Colazo, Pete Wahlers, Pete Koopmans, and Pat Speece also contributed.

History and music
In 2005, A'tris released their debut album, Appeal. It was praised for a cinematic feel and drew comparisons to R.E.M. and Radiohead. After that release, most members left to pursue other projects or touring, while Kreher stayed on as a producer with Sokol.

The band released the EP Of the Commons in 2007, with Pete Koopmans and Pat Speece joining for that project. In 2008, they issued their second full-length album, Lensing, which critics compared to artists like Jeff Buckley, Muse, and Coldplay.

In 2017, A'tris posted an extended play, Womb to War, on SoundCloud. Later that year, the band’s other social media accounts were deleted, leaving the SoundCloud page as a sole remaining presence.
