1923–24 Prince of Asturias Cup was the sixth edition of Spain’s inter-regional football competition, played by eight regional selections: Asturias, Biscay, Catalonia, Centro, Gipuzkoa, Galicia, South (Andalusia) and Levante. The tournament ran from 11 November 1923 to 26 February 1924 and used a knockout format with four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and a final (the final was replayed after a 4–4 draw).

Catalonia were the pre-tournament favourites, boasting star players such as Ricardo Zamora, Josep Samitier, Paulino Alcántara and Emili Sagi-Barba. They lived up to expectations by reaching the final and defeating a Castile/Madrid XI in a dramatic title decider.

In the quarter-finals, Levante beat South 3–2 after a late comeback, Biscay beat Asturias 4–2, Catalonia beat Gipuzkoa, and Centro beat Galicia 1–0 in Madrid amid heavy rain. The semi-finals saw Centro beat Andalucía 2–1 at El Metropolitano, with Monjardín scoring twice, while Catalonia edged Biscay 1–0 at Les Corts thanks to an early goal from Cristóbal Martí.

The final on 24 February 1924 at San Mamés finished 4–4 after extra time, with Sagi-Barba scoring a late equaliser for Catalonia. In the replay two days later, Catalonia won 3–2, thanks to goals from Carulla, Samitier and Piera. Juan Monjardín of Centro was the tournament’s top scorer with five goals.

Overall, eight matches were played and 32 goals were scored (an average of four per game). This edition did not match the previous one in impact and did not help form the Spanish Olympic team for 1924; the Prince of Asturias Cup was abolished by the Spanish FA on 26 June 1924.
