Zlatar (mountain)
Zlatar is a mountain range in southwestern Serbia, between the towns of Prijepolje and Nova Varoš. It is part of the Dinaric Alps, in the Stari Vlah group. The highest peak is Velika krseva, at 1,627 meters (5,338 feet), near Golo brdo. The range is bordered by the rivers Uvac, Lim, Mileševka, and Bistrica. There are four artificial lakes: Zlatar Lake, Radoinjsko Lake, Uvac Lake, and Potpeć. The climate is cool and mountainous with some Mediterranean influence, and the area has dense pine forests and many sunny days. It is suitable for medicinal use and altitude training. The Special Rehabilitation Hospital "Zlatar" sits at 1,237 meters and has 330 beds.
