Third Force (Hong Kong)

Third Force was a political banner in New Territories West for the 2012 Hong Kong Legislative Council election. It was led by Chan Keung, with support from rural leaders and some district councillors. In a police operation against triad-linked people openly campaigning in the New Territories, several backers of Chan Keung were arrested, including Kwok Wing-hung ("Shanghai Boy"), Cheung Chuen-hon ("Little Boy"), Ping Shan Rural Committee chairman Tsang Shu-wo, and Ha Tsuen Rural Committee chairman Tang Lai-tung. They were said to be active supporters of Chan Keung, who was running for a seat. The party did not attend any election debates and did not win a seat, receiving 16,767 votes.
