Yus, My Dear
Yus, My Dear is a British comedy show from 1976. It aired on ITV and ran 19 episodes over two series (six in the first series and thirteen in the second). Each episode is about 25 minutes long (not counting adverts). The series stars Arthur Mullard as Wally Briggs and Queenie Watts as Lily Briggs, with Mike Reid in his first acting role as Benny, Wally’s brother.
The show was written by Ronald Chesney and Ronald Wolfe and produced/directed by Stuart Allen for London Weekend Television. It’s a sequel to Romany Jones (1972–75): Wally and Lily have moved from their caravan into a council house. Benny is a new character in this series.
Yus, My Dear had modest ratings and has been described by the Radio Times Guide to TV Comedy as one of the worst British sitcoms ever produced. The two series have been released on Region 2 DVD by Network.
